Rise of Eden

The Glumps Banner

Improve the land around Eden as you create a food forest with other permaculturists.

Gameplay

Work the land of Eden as you create an idyllic permacultured city from the ground up (and underground as well). Work collaboratively with other permaculturists as you improve the fertility and create an Eden.

Collect resources by activating the placed wells. Using the resources you collected, build structures or plant dynamic accumulators that improve everyone’s resource gathering and mobility around the map.

Every structure you build or plant, however, will also help your opponent.

Seeds are used to generate additional soil builders, which give you actions during gameplay, or placed on the game board to generate resources.

Key decisions improve one aspect of gameplay but may hinder another.

Other Game Features

  • Very little downtime between player turns.

  • Variable board creates a different experience every game.

  • Scoring requires players to improve another players score to improve their own.

  • If players don’t plant dynamic accumulators, a paucity of resources will result.

  • Improve your own progress by helping other players.

Full playtest available on Tabletop Simulator

What is Permaculture?

Permaculture is an approach to land management and philosophy that adopts arrangements observed in flourishing natural ecosystems. It includes a set of design principles derived using whole systems thinking. It uses these principles in fields such as regenerative agriculture, rewilding, and community resilience.

In Rise of Eden, you will be creating a food forest. Food forests are self sustainable “forests” that provides you with food throughout the year. All of the plants within a food forest have different roles including: food production, soil building, nutrient fixing, and more.
